Ahead of the 2024 general elections, the Bhartiya Janta Party and RSS leaders attended the third World Hindu Congress (WHC) in Bangkok. The three-day conclave, which began on November 24, is titled Jayasya Aayatnam Dharmah (Dharma, Victory’s Abode). WHC has been described as an “expression of Hindu tenacity” as well as a “continuation of the quintessential and original yajnya (self-sacrifice) for the greater interest of Hindu society” .

"This is the country which the first PM ruined by bringing his socialism, price controls, license-quota Raj. He suppressed Indian capital and Indian entrepreneurs. In Nehru's rein, Sridhar Vembu could not have been a billionaire and started his own company": Shri Mohandas Pai… pic.twitter.com/S0CnXGXz2Q

In his inaugural address to the third WHC in Thailand’s capital, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat urged Hindus throughout the world to reach out to one another and connect with the rest of the world. “We must reach out and connect with everyone on the planet.” “As Hindus become more connected, the process of connecting with the rest of the world has begun,” he remarked, addressing a gathering of global intellectuals, activists, leaders, and entrepreneurs.

"Muslims in India have more rights than Hindus…Hindus are the oppressed community in India…and we are accused of being anti-minority…how can we tolerate this?": Shri Mohandas Pai @TVMohandasPai speaking at the #WHC2023 grand panel on Saturday pic.twitter.com/NE8SQJwAJR

He stated that the world has realised, particularly since the Covid epidemic, and is unanimous in believing that India will bring the path to happiness and satisfaction. According to Bhagwat, the world is now faltering after experiments with materialism, Communism, and capitalism in search of happiness, and is turning to Hinduism.

“Today’s world is now stumbling. For 2,000 years they have performed so many experiments to bring happiness, bliss and peace. They have tried materialism, communism and capitalism. They have tried various religions. They have assumed material prosperity. But there is no satisfaction,” he said. “After the Covid period, they have started rethinking. It seems they are unanimous in thinking that Bharat will provide the way,” Bhagwat said. According to Bhagwat, Hindus must play an important role in propagating the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which states that the entire world is one family.

Swami Vigyanananda, the founder and global chairman of the World Hindu Foundation, blew the conch to kick off the quadrennial event, which drew delegates from over 60 countries. The three-day meeting will allow attendees to debate issues affecting Hindus around the world.

It should be noted that the proposed consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya will kick off the BJP’s Hindutva blitz before the general elections. The great temple is expected to be inaugurated on January 22, 2024, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
