Vivek Ganapathy Ramaswamy is an Indian-origin American entrepreneur and presidential candidate. In February 2023, Ramaswamy declared his candidacy for the Republican Party nomination in the 2024 United States presidential election.
Ramaswamy is married to Apoorva T. Ramaswamy, and the couple have two sons who are 1 year old and 3.5 years old. According to a Business Insider article, the Republican presidential candidate is looking for a nanny whom he will give as much as $100,000 which is 80 lakh Indian rupees or more annually to take care of the children.
The striking position was advertised on a staffing website that examines the needs of wealthy and ultra-wealthy households. According to the job posting, the workweek consists of 84 to 96 hours of work, followed by a full week vacation.
The nanny is responsible for working along with “a dedicated team including a Chef, Nannies, a Housekeeper, and Private Security” to produce “a seamless daily routine for the children.”
In polls for the 2024 election, Ramaswamy is a front-runner to take on Joe Biden with former US President Donald Trump. The Republican contender of Indian descent was once referred to as “Trump’s heir apparent” by Time Magazine. After his first Republican presidential primary debate on August 23, he has attracted a lot of attention.
