India marked its 79th Independence Day with landmark celebrations across the US. For the first time, Seattle’s skyline lit up with the Indian tricolour at the iconic Space Needle.
In New York, major landmarks including the One World Trade Center, Grand Central Terminal, Niagara Falls, and Kosciuszko Bridge were illuminated in India’s colours. The events highlighted the growing friendship and cultural bonds between India and the United States.
