Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara has taken the global box office by storm, emerging as Bollywood’s top international grosser of 2025. Starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film has collected ₹94 crore overseas in just 12 days, surpassing the lifetime international earnings of Chhaava (₹91 crore), which featured Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna.
This milestone puts Saiyaara ahead of other big-budget releases like Housefull 5 (₹70.25 crore), Sitaare Zameen Par (₹66.75 crore), and Murder Mubarak (₹54 crore). It has also overtaken the international collections of Malayalam star Mohanlal’s Thudarum (₹93.80 crore), claiming the second spot among Indian films globally, just behind L2: Empuraan (₹124.50 crore).
The film has grossed ₹413 crore worldwide so far and continues its strong box office run. Ahaan and Aneet are currently in Singapore, celebrating the film’s success. Backed by YRF and directed by Suri, Saiyaara tells the story of a struggling musician who falls in love with an aspiring journalist, only for their bond to be tested by a heartbreaking twist.
While Chhaava remains the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025 with ₹807.88 crore worldwide, Saiyaara’s rapid rise—despite featuring debutants—marks a significant achievement in Bollywood this year. With major releases like Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2 arriving soon, all eyes are on whether Saiyaara can maintain its global momentum.
