Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh has confirmed that the S-400 air defence system destroyed at least five Pakistani fighter jets during “Operation Sindoor,” a four-day conflict with Pakistan. Speaking at the Air Marshal Katre Annual Lecture in Bengaluru, he said the aircraft were hit at a range of 300 km, and some parked F-16s in Jacobabad were also destroyed. Singh hailed the S-400 as a “game-changer” that kept enemy aircraft from using long-range glide bombs by preventing them from breaching Indian airspace.
Speaking at the annual Air Marshal Katre Memorial Lecture in Bengaluru, the IAF Chief disclosed that: •Five Pakistani fighter jets were shot down in air combat by the S-400 system. •One AWACS/ELINT aircraft was destroyed in the air. •An AWACS stationed in a hangar at Bholari was destroyed. •F-16s undergoing maintenance on the ground were damaged or destroyed.
