The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in India organized a special investment promotion event in New Delhi to highlight the vast opportunities available in Khazaen Economic City. The gathering was attended by senior dignitaries, business leaders, and representatives from Oman and India.
Addressing the event, H.E. Mr. Issa Saleh Abdullah Saleh Alshibani, Ambassador of Oman to India, invited Indian companies to explore and invest in Oman, particularly in Khazaen Economic City. He emphasized Oman’s investor-friendly environment, noting that “our investment framework is designed for clarity and confidence. For Indian businesses, Oman is a natural extension strategy.”
The Ambassador also extended warm birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the Government and people of Oman, underscoring the close and enduring ties between the two nations.
The program featured presentations by Mohamed Ahmed Al Siyabi, Commercial Affairs Manager, and Mohammed Abdullah Al Salmi, Business Development Manager, who outlined Khazaen’s unique strengths as an integrated economic gateway. Investment prospects in pharmaceuticals, food processing, light manufacturing, and logistics were particularly highlighted.
Khazaen Economic City offers a competitive package of incentives through public–private partnerships, making it an ideal hub for production and a strategic platform for exports and re-exports to regional and global markets.
The event, supported by Optimax Access and the India and Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture, was held as part of the celebrations marking 70 years of Oman–India diplomatic relations. The milestone reflects the depth of centuries-old maritime, trade, and cultural linkages that continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
