In New Delhi, Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Leader of the Opposition Mr. Rahul Gandhi held a meeting with Dr. the Hon. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, GCSK, FRCP, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius.
The interaction underscored the long-standing bonds of friendship and cooperation between India and Mauritius. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on areas of mutual interest, including strengthening political ties, enhancing people-to-people connect, and exploring new avenues of collaboration.
Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi reiterated India’s historical and cultural relationship with Mauritius, a nation that shares deep-rooted ties with India. Dr. Ramgoolam, in turn, expressed appreciation for India’s continued support and highlighted the importance of maintaining close engagement between the two countries.
