Ambassador of India to Egypt, Mr. Suresh K Reddy recently met H.E. Senator Hazem Mohamed Suleiman Omar, the Chairman of the Foreign, Arab and African Affairs Committee of the Egyptian Senate & President of the Republican Party at the Embassy of India in Cairo.
The meeting was held to discuss the strengthening of diplomatic engagement between India and Egypt, promoting bilateral relations in parliamentary democracy through enhanced mutual legislative dialogue and exchange visits, regional developments such as cooperation across the Middle-East and Africa, and economic and cultural collaboration, and the rich potential for expanding the partnership between India and Egypt by exploring opportunities in trade, investment and tourism sectors.
Ambassador Reddy also expressed his gratitude to the Senator for providing a warm and friendly reception multi-party parliamentary delegation that had visited Egypt recently.
This meeting reflects India’s focus on Middle Eastern parliamentary engagement and Egypt’s interest in deepening ties with India. A partnership between the two countries can help create foundation for joint initiatives in regional peace, economic growth, and cultural diplomacy.
