As a part of their efforts to increase business ties between nations, India’s ambassador to Austria and Permanent Representative to UN offices in Vienna Shambhu Kumaran met Mr. Joachim Schönbeck, President & CEO of Andritz AG in Graz.
Andritz is a leading industrial company with significant presence in India. A comment on X said the discussions focussed on expanding engagement, especially in new and green technology domains.
Mr Shambhu Kumaran tweeted: An excellent discussion. It was learnt that Andritz technologies are in use in about a quarter of hydropower projects in India including some recently launched pumped storage/RE projects. Assured full support for an expanded presence by the company in India.
The meeting is also coming before PM Modi of India starts his official trip to Austria after assuming charge as the Prime Minister of India for the third time. Austria visit is first for PM Modi in his third term
