As hundreds of students wait for visa appointments to Germany the embassy in India has issued a video regarding the technical glitch at their end. The embassy admitted that the waiting time for student visa was being displayed incorrectly, and they are working actively to solve the issue and that the waiting time beginning from registering for the visa to securing a visa appointment is about three months.

The message was earlier displayed on June 13 and another video was posted on June 27 showing that the tech glitch is still there
The post came in response to continuous messages and questions posted by students applying for the German Visa and APS (Academic Evaluation Centre) Certificates in the comment section of the German Embassy’s
social media posts. In addition, towards the end of April 2025, the APS India website and portal became inaccessible to students due to a major technical glitch. The issue of certificates was hence delayed; ongoing
application froze in middle while still in the processing stage and communication via the contact
form was either unavailable or highly delayed. This raised the anxiety of Indian students who were
applying to German universities who were fearing the fast- approaching visa deadlines. APS solved
the problem by asking for documents to be submitted through courier/post only and resumed
