UAE has dismissed rumours that it is offering a lifetime Golden Visa to select nationalities. The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) clarified that no such provision exists and that all Golden Visa applications must go through official UAE government channels.
In a statement, the ICP said, “The categories of golden residence, along with their conditions and requirements, are strictly governed by UAE laws and official ministerial decisions.”
The clarification follows false reports circulated by a foreign consulting office, which claimed individuals could apply for a lifetime Golden Visa. Several media outlets, particularly in India and the UAE, published the unverified press release dated July 7. The ICP stated these reports were not backed by UAE law or approved authorities.
The authority reaffirmed that it does not recognise any external advisory body in the Golden Visa application process. “Applications are only accepted via official platforms such as the ICP website or smart app,” it said.
Legal Action to Follow
The ICP also confirmed it will pursue legal action against those spreading such misinformation. It accused the responsible parties of exploiting people’s aspirations for a better life in the UAE, warning that such schemes are designed to extract money under false pretenses.
