New York’s Times Square wore a different look this Friday. Visitors from across the world, who throng the iconic spot in the city were amazed to see the Yoga being performed in middle of Times Square, delivering a message of happiness and prosperity through health. Honouring Yoga as India’s gift to the world, thousands of Yoga practitioners from all walks of life joined for “Yoga for One Earth One Health”
Consulate General of India, New York in collaboration with the Times Square Alliance, celebrated International Day of Yoga 2025 in this unique way.
At 7:30 am in the morning, Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, Consul General of India in New York with film star Anupam Kher started the Yoga sessions, attended by participants from all walks of life

Indian embassies across the world are organising special yoga workshops featuring body & mind purification techniques (pranayama & kriyas)
The workshops including exciting activities that explore the benefits of Yoga, and take a step towards holistic well-being.
The 10th anniversary of International Day of Yoga (21 June) being observed this year with the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’.
