He also expressed concern for relatives and friends in the affected areas and said he hoped to contribute to relief efforts once he could identify the right channel for assistance.
Actor Sonu Sood also offered support, saying Nepal was not alone and indicating that efforts would focus on providing food, shelter and assistance to people affected by the disaster. Sood has previously been involved in humanitarian relief initiatives, giving his response particular attention.
Nepal-born actor Manisha Koirala urged her followers to pray for the country and shared images highlighting the destruction caused by the floods. Her response reflected her longstanding connection with Nepal and its people.
Fashion designer Prabal Gurung, who was born in Nepal, also described the devastation as heartbreaking and expressed support for families searching for missing relatives and for rescuers working in extremely difficult conditions.
Other Indian film personalities, including Farhan Akhtar, Kangana Ranaut, Bhumi Pednekar and Sanjay Dutt, have also shared messages of grief, solidarity and support, with some posts directing followers towards information and helplines.
The celebrity response comes as Nepal continues a large-scale rescue and relief operation following catastrophic flash floods and landslides that have killed hundreds and left thousands missing. India is separately conducting rescue and humanitarian operations, including assistance for stranded Indian nationals.
Celebrities Rally for Nepal Flood Relief efforts add a public voice to the wider humanitarian response, as attention remains focused on rescuing survivors, locating missing people and supporting communities that have suffered extensive loss.
