Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas, currently promoting her Hollywood project Heads of State, has expressed a heartfelt longing for Bollywood and India. In a recent interview, she said, “I miss Hindi movies and I miss India so much,” and confirmed that she’s working on director S.S. Rajamouli’s much-anticipated action-adventure, SSMB29, marking her triumphant return to Indian cinema.
Chopra has already joined the filming of SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu in the lead, alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran. The project, believed to be India’s costliest film, kicked off principal photography in February 2025 in Hyderabad, with subsequent shoots in locations such as Kenya and Odisha. She even celebrated Holi with the cast and crew on set, sharing moments and blessings on social media.
While embracing this homecoming, Priyanka is also juggling motherhood. She frequently travels between New York and India, moving back and forth to ensure quality time with her daughter, Malti Marie, even as she shoots the film.
