Anisha Padukone, younger sister of actress Deepika Padukone, is reportedly preparing to marry Dubai-based businessman Rohan Acharya, according to recent media reports. While neither family has issued an official statement yet, a formal announcement is expected soon.
Rohan Acharya comes from a family with significant cinematic lineage: he is the great-grandson of legendary filmmaker Bimal Roy. His sister Drisha Acharya is married to actor Karan Deol, the son of veteran actor Sunny Deol — a connection that could link the Padukone and Deol families in the near future.
Sources close to the families say Anisha and Rohan have known each other for several years but have maintained a private relationship. According to one insider, mutual friends – and possibly actor Ranveer Singh – played a role in bringing them together at family gatherings.
Anisha, 34, is not only known for her sporting background as a golfer, but also for her social work. She heads the foundation started by her sister Deepika, working actively on mental-health awareness and advocacy.
Rohan, meanwhile, works in the family’s travel business and is based out of Dubai. If confirmed, the union is expected to be one of the most talked-about alliances in the Indian film and business circles this season.
