Standing in solidarity with India, condemning the recent Pahalgam tourists’ massacre, and addressing the gathering at Norway’s national day celebrations, Stener said, “Here in Delhi, particularly tonight, the terror attack in Pahalgam last week shocked us all. Our heartfelt thoughts go out to the victims, their families, and the people of India. There can never be any justification for terror and attacks on innocent lives. Norway condemns terrorism in all its forms.”
Norway celebrates its National Day on May 17. Syttende Mai, which simply means “May 17” in Norwegian, marks the anniversary of the signing of the Norwegian Constitution in 1814. The National Day, also called Constitution Day is usually celebrated on May 17.
