According to Dubai Police, the accident occurred when the minibus collided with a truck that had reportedly stopped on the highway due to a mechanical fault. Emergency teams rushed to the scene and transported the injured to nearby hospitals. Authorities said several of the injured sustained serious injuries and remain under medical care.
The Indian Consulate confirmed that the victims included Indian nationals and said consular officials had visited hospitals and were working closely with local authorities. The mission also expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and assured support for the injured and their relatives.
